Bill Garten has more than 25 years of experience in providing comprehensive financial planning and investment management services to individuals, families, and businesses. He specializes in retirement and portfolio management strategies, using a variety of financial instruments, such as mutual funds, bonds, stocks, ETFs, alternative investments, REITs, annuities, and insurance products.

Bill’s mission is to help his clients understand and optimize their investment portfolio performance, as they move towards retirement and beyond. He also handles 401k plans for small and large companies, offering various investment platforms to regional banks and credit unions. Spenser began his professional journey as a bank branch manager, where he discovered a growing need among his clients for clear, trustworthy financial guidance. Driven by a desire to make a greater impact, he founded Vago Insurance Agency in 1997. Since then, he has guided over a thousand clients through the complexities of Medicare, the Affordable Care Act, short-term coverage, and group benefits—always with a focus on education, integrity, and personalized service.

Today, Spenser is expanding his commitment to serving his clients’ whole health—not only their physical well-being through quality insurance solutions, but also their financial health and long-term wealth. Steve Frohwerk is an experienced, dynamic, and engaging marketing and communications professional with experience in event planning and management, public relations, community relations, fundraising, and account management. He holds a dual-degree Masters with leadership skills through strategic business planning, budgeting and forecasting, operations, and staff management, having worked in both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors. He enjoys being outdoors and following his children in their academic and athletic pursuits.

    THE SMOOTH PROCESS

Introducing the Smooth Process

The Smooth Process "FULL PLAN" entails four meetings and occurs over a 60 to 90 day time period.

STEP ONE

We meet for 60 minutes to discuss your overall goals and life situation and answer any questions you may have.

STEP TWO

You input your financial data into RightCapital, our financial planning system. We run an analysis on the data and formulate an initial plan.

STEP THREE

We meet for 60 minutes to discuss the first draft of the financial plan. We answer any questions you have.

STEP FOUR

We incorporate changes from our meeting and create the detailed plan.

STEP FIVE

We meet for 60 minutes and discuss any questions you may have.

STEP SIX
The plan is finalized and sent to you in writing. We have a final discussion over the report and action items.
After the initial plan is created, clients typically return on a yearly basis to keep their plans current as life circumstances change over time. That work is performed at a rate of $250/hour.

A client can also engage me to perform specific financial planning projects such as Roth conversion strategies, Social Security claiming analyses, home purchase coaching, assistance with selection of employee benefits, and other personal finance needs (the Targeted Plan). Also, a client can engage me for the Single Session for up to 1 ½ hours.
